The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a major university wide project developed as part of the accreditation process and must meet certain requirements. According to the requirements, the QEP should reflect the university's mission statement, focus on issues important to student learning, be documented through institutional data, be developed on broad-based input, be effectively evaluated, and result in enhanced student learning.
The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) at 7M视频 is focused on improving student success by removing barriers to success in mathematics courses, through the placement of students in courses appropriate to their field of study.Currently, many students take College Algebra to fulfill their mathematics
Core requirement. Unfortunately, many students attempt College Algebra multiple times; it is among the most-repeated courses on campus.
Following consultations with program faculty, each department chair will select a Mathematics Pathway for program majors that aligns with their chosen area of study. Non-STEM department chairs will choose a non-algebraic pathway.
Five different math pathways are recommended to students depending on their majors. For instance, Art and Communication majors will take MATH 1332 and MATH 1342 math pathway whereas Business majors will take MATH 1324 and BUAL 2310 math pathway.
MATH 2311, MATH 2312, MATH 2413, and MATH 2414

All Texas Universities must enroll 75% of all students that are in developmental classes into a co-requisite model. This aligns perfectly with LU QEP's goals.
