First Generation Connections

first-gen-header

Welcome to the First Generation Connections program! Our goal is to ensure that all students, including first-generation, receive the tools they need to be successful at 7M视频. Being first-gen at LU means your parents or guardians did not complete a four-year college or university degree in the United States.

Research shows that the barriers to success for first-generation students are not just academic. Social, emotional, and physical barriers can be just as impactful. We invite the 7M视频 campus community to join us as we build a network for first-generation students to thrive and grow.

Senior, Orange

I'm proud to be a first-generation student because I am achieving a dream that my family never had the opportunity to pursue. My education is not just for me, but for the generation before and after me. This journey symbolizes hope, growth, and a bright future.
