Happy 2025 all you LU graduate students. We are back in 219 Wimberly from the holiday vacation and preparing for our 3rd Annual Graduate Research Conference. Please come to the Setzer Center’s Live Oak Ballroom A on Feb 12 at 8:00 a.m. to share some coffee or tea and get the run-down on our day’s events with Provost Brett Welch and me. 7M视频 graduate students will be presenting their research in the topic areas of health and wellness through posters and papers.
We will have a yoga demonstration right after the opening events and graduate student Rushi B. will host free pizza and drinks for lunch right after our fantastic keynote speaker, Paula Tacker, of Stable Spirit, tells us all about equine therapy, a way of connecting people with horses for relief of stress and disorder. Of course, since it is so close to Valentine’s Day, you can expect some hearts, flowers, and candy as well. Dr. Christian Bahrim, Dr. Douglas Williams, and I will award top posters and papers at the end of the day.
The research is not so touchy-feely. The conference showcases serious scientific advances and therapeutic models from the fields of Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Mental Health, School Counseling, Education, Nutrition, Ecophilosophy, and other disciplines. We will offer two free first-come, first-served workshops, and we have several faculty presenters as well. We will post a schedule here next week so you can plan your day with us. Bring some friends and support your classmates.
